Joanna Yañez, the founder of Rebirth, was born and raised in the San Diego area. She has cultivated an interest in the healing arts since her youth, beginning with her Great Aunt, a traditional healer. Joanna’s interest in natural medicine and healing practices have taken her up and down the west coast and deep into Central America where she studied native medicine with Indigenous healers, Herbalist, Sobadores (traditional body workers), and Midwives. Joanna combines her knowledge of ancient techniques with modern medicine, anatomy and physiology to provide excellent and attentive care.
Joanna is a Certified Massage Therapist of over 10 years, an Herbalist, and Doula. She is an abdominal therapist certified in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™, Chi Nei Tsang, and Hara Abdominal Therapy. Furthermore, she has received advanced training and certification in pre-conception support, pregnancy and post partum massage, as well as certification in manual lymphatic drainage, reflexology, parasympathetic massage, and guided mediation. She loves working with women through every stage of their healing journey.

Sanja Pejin is originally from Serbia with a professional background in law and government. San Diego has given her the opportunity to spend more time in nature and to practice and study more about holistic ways of healing the body. She was always passionate about using the herbs, and at very early age she immersed herself in learning about and practicing massage.
All that led her to becoming licensed Massage Therapist, graduating from International Professional School of Bodywork, with training in pre and post-natal massage, deep tissue sculpting, circulatory massage. She is also a Clinical Herbalist, graduating from Self-heal Herbal School, with training in aromatherapy, nutrition and medicine making. Sanja believes that touch is one of the most powerful tools in healing physical, emotional, mental parts of ourselves.
Whitney has a calming presence, healing touch and passion for holistic health. Exposed to the methodical, restorative practice of Svaroopa yoga and meditation in 2009 with Kelly Sullivan, Whitney went on to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher certification in Kundalini yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa with Adesh Kaur Khalsa in 2012. The practice of yoga led Whitney to delve more deeply into the healing arts and become a certified massage therapist, trained in Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Swedish/Circulatory massage at the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB).
Whitney emphasizes connection to breath and uses a meltingly slow and deep touch to relax and restore.
On her down time she volunteers Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center, shadowing occupational therapists working with patients with spinal cord injury, stroke or brain injury. She also volunteers with the City of San Diego’s Therapeutic Recreation Services department, helping with yoga classes, park walks, and dances. .

Liz is a certified massage therapist that graduated from the esteemed Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She specializes in prenatal massage, Thai massage, cranial sacral and deep tissue. Her massage style flows with a firm pressure and attention to detail. She originally pursued a career in law for many years before deciding to follow her true passion in holistic prenatal health. Being a proud mother of two she knows how important care is prenatal and especially postpartum. She is a certified postpartum doula and placenta encapsulation specialist. She loves connecting and working with women from all walks of life.

Veronica is a Los Angeles native, but has always had a connection to San Diego. Spending summers in San Diego with her cousins, she knew that one day her path would lead her here. The energy of the land and Spirit of the ocean captivated her at a young age and never let go. In 2003, after finishing school to become a massage therapist, she made the move to San Diego to begin her new life as a married woman.
Being a multi-instrumentalist musician, she understands sound frequencies and vibrations can assist as a vessel of healing. Her natural curiosity and intuition always has her acquiring more knowledge in natural healing and holistic modalities. After three children, the call to provide healing and nurturing has become even more loud and clear. She realizes the importance of womb health and the relationship it has with the overall well-being of the Divine Feminine mind, body, and spirit.
