Essential oils for Pregnancy

Using essential oils are a wonderful way to help enjoy pregnancy. Every women is so unique and their experience of pregnancy will vary. Whether you are wanting to simply relax or are having morning sickness, essential oils can help! They have been used throughout history and are still used today for their therapeutic benefits without side effects. We love using aroma therapy during our prenatal massage sessions at Rebirth!

ALWAYS CHOOSE CPTG! Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade. Make sure you are not using some knock off fragrance mixed with chemicals and little oil. To be one the safe side, use after first trimester.

Breast (sooth): Lavender & Chamomile

Add 3-5 drops to 1 tbs fractionated coconut oil and massage on location

Constipation: Lemon, Spearmint, Fennel 1-3 drop

Massage onto upper abdomen with a carrier oil.

Depression/ Anxiety: Neroli, Orange, Frankincense

Use in diffuser or simply inhale. May place a drop on wrists, neck and heat chakra. Reapply during the day as needed.

High Blood Pressure: Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Lemon balm, Lavender

Place 3 drops of ylang ylang in evening bath water twice a week, OR combine 5 drops geranium, 8 drops lemon balm, and 3 drops lavender in 1 oz fractionated coconut oil. Rub over heart and on the reflex points of left foot and hand.

Nausea/ vomiting: Lemon, Orange, Peppermint

Diffuse into air, inhale OR dilute 3 drop into 1 Tbs, oil in outer ear, down jawbone, and on reflex points of feet.

Labor Inducing: Clary Sage

Only use if past due. Place a drop of clary sage on inner ankle (this is the uterine point in reflexology), behind ear and chest. You can also place a few drops in use a diffuser.
