What is Radiant Womb Yoga?

These classes are designed to gently guide you on a journey into the womb space and second chakra through moon salutations, hip openers, and heart openers. Props are encouraged so, if possible, come prepared with pillows, blocks, bolsters, and blankets.

Why Radiant Womb Yoga?

As women, we have this life giving vessel called a Uterus that affects us in various ways throughout our life. Most of us are not taught to pay attention to our Uterus, or Womb, and may often feel shame or discomfort (physically and emotionally) for even having one. Some cultures say that if a woman’s uterus is out of balance, her life will be out of balanced. I know this to be true for me, and found that it takes care and presence to forge this inner connection.

I developed this practice through my own personal struggles with my womb and through working with woman one on one, practicing Mayan Abdominal Therapy Massage, which targets the reproductive organs and surrounding digestive organs. What I noticed is that all the woman I worked with had something in common—their nervous systems were extremely depleted, there was excess worry and anxiety in the body, and a sense of unrest was very present both in the body and in their minds.

As a yoga teacher and practitioner, I wanted to merge these two worlds, and create a practice specifically for women, in any stage of life, with uterus or not, that would ultimately create a positive vibration in her body so that she feels Radiant and Beautiful from the inside out.

Is this class right for you?

This class is for you if you answer “Yes” to any of these following questions:

  • Do you want to connect with your femininity in a graceful and uplifting way?

  • Are you healing from an unhealthy relationship and need positive, feminine support right now?

  • Have you experienced sexual trauma?

  • Do you sometimes feel shame about your body or sexuality?

  • Do you have uterine cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, polyps, or scar tissue around and in the reproductive organs?

  • Do you have irregular menstrual cycles or none at all?

  • Have you experienced pregnancy loss through miscarriage or abortion?

  • Are you healing from pregnancy and are postpartum and feel you are up for some gentle movement?

  • Are you are needing support with fertility?

  • Are you undergoing IUI, IVF, or any other fertility treatments?

  • Are you receiving other fertility treatments like acupuncture, massage, or Mayan Abdominal Massage?

  • Do you want support of other women who may be able to relate to you?
