Recovering from a C-section is extremely challenging! With disrupted sleep, the effort to breastfeed, restricted mobility, discomfort, and the constant care for a newborn every few hours, it's a demanding experience following a significant abdominal surgery. Surprisingly, this is the only surgical procedure where you're expected to resume work right away. Indeed, looking after a newborn is work!

This massage will assist in speeding up your recovery and calming your nervous system, returning it to the parasympathetic state.

You also may be experiencing:

-Constipation

-Painful gas

-Swelling

-Cannot lay flat

-Vaginal bleeding/afterbirth

-Insomnia

-Anxiety

-Depression

-Back pain

-Sciatic pain

Having worked as a certified massage therapist and birth worker for many years, I observed a lack of available healing bodywork for individuals who have given birth through cesarean section. There is a limited understanding of how to provide bodywork to support recovery from a cesarean birth, despite its numerous benefits. Drawing from my 15 years of experience as a certified massage therapist, birth worker, and a mother who underwent a c-section due to my son being breech and the midwife's recommendation against a breech birth, I possess firsthand knowledge of the recovery process and how to assist. This personal experience inspired me to develop specialized bodywork and healing packages tailored for those who have been delivered via cesarean section.

Throughout our Cesarean Birth Massage ™️, we employ a range of methods aimed at accelerating the healing process by diminishing swelling, scar tissue, and discomfort. The bodywork is tailored to your specific stage of recovery.

Bookings are available from 3 days up to 6 months. We also suggest the Postnatal Abdominal Massage after the 3-month mark.

Our signature cesarean birth massage aims to customize care to your needs.

We have hydraulic tables to help get you on and off the table, Incudine a comfortable reclined position during your massage.

The Milky Way massage is included in the cesarean birth massage as mothers who deliver via c-section may face challenges in initiating milk production. This is due to the absence of the hormonal surge that occurs during labor and vaginal delivery.

Affirmation post-belly birth

I did a very difficult thing, I am powerful, I am strong.

Thank you, womb, for growing, carrying, and protecting my baby.

I love and accept myself.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. When can I start receiving a Cesarean Birth Massage? Bookings for our specialized Cesarean Birth Massage are available as early as 3 days after delivery and up to 6 months postpartum. For those past the 3-month mark, we often suggest transitioning to our Postnatal Abdominal Massage.

2. How does massage help after a C-section? Cesarean Birth Massage helps speed up recovery by diminishing swelling, reducing scar tissue, and alleviating discomfort. It also helps calm the nervous system, shifting the body into a restorative parasympathetic state to help with insomnia, anxiety, and depression.

3. Can massage help with breastfeeding after a C-section? Yes. Our signature treatment includes "The Milky Way" massage. Mothers who deliver via C-section may face challenges with milk production because they miss the hormonal surge of labor; this specialized bodywork helps support and initiate milk supply.

4. Is it difficult to get on and off the massage table after surgery? We prioritize your comfort and safety. We use hydraulic tables to help you get on and off easily, and we can perform the massage in a comfortable reclined position if you are unable to lay flat due to surgical discomfort.

5. What common C-section recovery symptoms can this massage address? This bodywork is designed to help with several common post-surgical issues, including constipation, painful gas, swelling, back pain, sciatic pain, and vaginal bleeding (afterbirth).
